Terms of Use

Last updated: October 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of myShelf, the app by Nubico Software Technologies. By using it you accept them. They apply together with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement; where they conflict, these terms prevail to the extent the law allows.

The app

myShelf lets you log your books, reading sessions and stats, and build your shelf. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on Apple devices you own or control.

Subscription and free trial

Your content

What you add —books, notes, quotes, photos— is yours. We only use it to provide the service (for example, the backup if you sign in with Apple), as explained in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you upload.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app for anything illegal, don't try to access other people's systems or data, and don't overload, copy or decompile the service except where the law allows.

Social mode and community

Social mode is optional. If you turn it on, the people who follow you see your name, your avatar, your @ and what you read, as explained in the privacy policy. There is no tolerance for offensive content or harassment: don't use a name or @ that insults, impersonates someone else or is inappropriate, and don't use social mode to bother anyone. You can block and report any user from their profile; we review reports within 24 hours and may remove content and end social mode access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Book data

Titles, authors and covers come from public sources such as Google Books and Open Library. They may contain mistakes; you can correct them in your library.

Warranty and liability

We take care for myShelf to work well, but it is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for the loss of data you didn't back up. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer law.

Changes and end of service

We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant we'll let you know. If we ever shut myShelf down, we'll give you notice so you can export your library.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the rules of your country of residence and may go to its courts.
